Job Description

Component Buyer

San Fernando CA pharmaceutical manufacturer is looking for a packaging buyer for hair and beauty products.

The Packaging Buyer is responsible for purchasing packaging components and printing needs utilizing approved specifications and vendors. The incumbent will review and track approved purchase requests and determine availability of supply for requested items through approved vendors; will place orders with current approved vendors on new and repeat purchases ensuring on time delivery; Execute purchase order entry in Macola production software system and will provide forecast, plans, and purchases for future production while honoring required lead times .of various vendors. Incumbent will supervise the printing of labels and other component needs ensuring these items meet the quality level of approved printing specifications and will be responsible for ensures an on-time delivery time as not to delay production.

Bachelor's Degree in business, finance, or related area, or equivalent education, training and experience is required. Minimum of two years experience in purchasing/printing field and knowledge of packaging equipment is required.
